Founder, CEO
Born in Queens, NY, and raised in South Florida, Haan is a son of Guyanese immigrants and the first in his family to graduate from college. He began his academic journey as a Jenkins Scholar at the University of Miami, where he graduated magna cum laude with double majors in Kinesiology and Human & Social Development.
Following his passion for education and service, Haan joined Teach for America, dedicating years to teaching in the inner-city schools of Baltimore, Camden, and Philadelphia while pursuing his graduate degree in Education from Johns Hopkins. These formative years in challenging environments ignited a transition to medicine, driven by a desire to impact lives on a fundamental level. Haan prepared for this new path with a postbaccalaureate program at Bryn Mawr College before entering Harvard Medical School (HMS).
